Hexagon’s Safety & Infrastructure division announced that Ecuador’s Corporation for Citizen Security of Guayaquil (CSCG) has selected Hexagon’s computer-aided dispatch (CAD), physical security information management (PSIM) and analytics solutions to support national police, fire, armed forces, traffic, health and other municipal agencies.
Hexagon’s integrated public safety and security technologies will allow the municipal public safety organization to provide a better 9-1-1 service to Guayaquil citizens and visitors by improving collaboration and communication between agencies, providing accurate data and analysis in real time and allowing greater efficiency in response to more than 5,700 calls for service per day.
Hexagon solutions will replace the existing basic incident management and call response systems in the command and control center of the municipality of Guayaquil, providing agency staff and first responders with robust, state-of-the-art public safety tools that enable them to respond faster to emergencies, better allocate resources and leverage operational data for intelligent decision-making.
Hexagon’s public safety technologies will enable the new local ECU911 center in Guayaquil to improve operational quality for day-to-day incidents and major events, providing agencies with the right tools and information to better help citizens and visitors when they need it most.
“We provide vital services to more than 2.7 million citizens, so we needed a proven solution from a trusted provider,” said Christian Cherrez, CEO of CSCG.
“We were looking for an interoperable, easy-to-install solution that we could customize to meet the needs of different types of agencies and seamlessly integrate with other systems, such as radio, video surveillance, alarm and panic buttons. Hexagon’s fully integrated solutions will enable us to provide prompt and timely assistance to those in emergency situations and effectively combat crime.”
“We are proud to support CSCG in this transformative change, providing them with a reliable, end-to-end solution that can help agencies address their public safety needs,” said Sergio Nunes, senior vice president of Latin America for Hexagon’s Safety & Infrastructure division. “By streamlining processes, integrating communications and sharing real-time data, Hexagon helps agencies significantly boost their productivity.”
