By 2050, 68% of the world’s population will live in cities, according to the United Nations. And Tuesday 1st January 2030 is the deadline for the built environment to contribute to the fulfilment of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Bringing the best minds together, BEYOND 2020 conference is the opportunity to create the missing link between the UN Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 and the built environment.
Beyond 2020 is part of The World Sustainable Built Environment (WSBE) conference series, the world’s largest conference on sustainability in the built environment taking place every three years. BEYOND 2020 was initially supposed to take place on 6-9 June 2020 in Gothenburg (Sweden), but had to be cancelled due to the global COVID-19 situation. The conference will now take place online on 2-4 November 2020.
The mission of the conference is to link the global building sector to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and to define its role towards the achievement of 2030 objectives.
